Does MorningStar University go beyond two years?
Yes.  There are 1, 2 and 3 year programs that are offered. The students that complete the 1st Year Program earn a one year completion certificate.  The students that complete the 2nd year Program earn an Associates Degree in Christian Ministry, as recognized by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors. Graduates of the second year program are eligible to apply for the third year program.

Is MSU Accredited?
MorningStar University, also known as MorningStar School of Ministry, is not accredited at this time unless you go through NCCT (see paragraph below). Degree programs of study offered by MorningStar School of Ministry have been declared exempt from the requirements for licensure under provisions of North Carolina General Statutes (G.S.) 116-15 (d) for exemption from licensure with respect to religious education. Exemption from licensure is not based upon any assessment of program quality under established licensing standards. MorningStar School of Ministry is approved to offer an Associate of Christian Ministry Degree to students who successfully complete our two-year program. There are times when another college will allow credits from the Associates Program to transfer to their school, and there are other cases where credits do not transfer as different schools accept different course credits, classes and/or transcript types.
MSU also offers Christian Accredited Degrees through NCCT including Associates, Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral Degrees. Please contact 803-802-5544 x392 or check out the MSU Theology website at http://www.msutheology.org/ for information about the accredited degrees.

MorningStar University has developed into more than a School of Ministry with three major colleges under one umbrella including the School of Theology and Doctrine, the School of Holy Spirit and the School of Leadership and Missions. Under this umbrella, there are additional focuses such as our School of Worship, Creativity in Arts, Special Forces Missions, and more.

WORK EDUCATION is required for all first year students, unless you meet one of the following options: 1) You’re over 29 years old, 2) you’re married, 3) you have children, OR 4) you have a job and already work a minimum of 15 hours per week. The Work Education Program is our onsite educational training lab at MorningStar. It’s required for all first year students, unless you meet one of the following options: 1) You’re 29 years old or older, 2) you’re married, 3) you have children, OR 4) you have a job and already work a minimum of 15 hours per week. The time involved averages to 16 hours per week, except during school breaks. Participating students are graded in several categories (as explained at MSU orientation day) and students also receive a tuition discount. Students who qualify to be exempt from the Work Education Program are welcome to be a part of this program as long as there are additional lab openings.

The MSU 2nd & 3rd Year Programs cost less than the MSU 1st Year Program and include more leadership and hands-on ministry opportunities.  To qualify for the MSU 2nd Year Program, one must complete the 1st Year MSU Program.

Boot-Camp Fee:
$500 (Includes essential training, meals, and accommodations). Boot Camp is mandatory for all MSU First Year students. If you miss Boot Camp, the cost to make-up Boot Camp without your peers is $100, but students get much more out of the program if they attend the full Boot Camp in the Fall.

Separate Costs:
Students are personally responsible for the funds necessary for transportation, medical insurance, ministry trips, meals and incidental expenses, etc.

Financial Aid/Scholarships:
