Dave tells of spending some time in Korea at Prayer Mountain, the church established by Paul Yonggi Cho. While he was there praying, something happened in his heart that changed him forever. He believes that some things will only come to us by persistent prayer. As he was praying, he felt God touched his heart strongly about Deut. 8:18--that God wants to give us power to create wealth, so He can establish His covenant. It is God's power that does this. There are three keys to overcoming in this present economic environment: 1) New moves of God in this season--we need to forget how God moved in the past and let Him do something new. 2) Reject the evil report--be careful what we listen to and follow. 3) Turn your setbacks into powerful building blocks for success.
Ray Dempsey--Ten-minute speaker: Ray encourages us to nurture all of our relationships. He tells us to honor our mothers and fathers and love them. He says the men need to pray over their wives and children--showing them they have value. We need to make a plan to love and cultivate relationships with our family members.
